Club Membership
As a member of GFWC, you can be proud to belong to this international group of women volunteers with a historic legacy and continuing tradition of community service. Working alongside other dedicated club members, you enhance and enrich the lives of your family, your community and your fellow members. In addition, you have abundant opportunities to enrich your own life through volunteer work and club fellowship; enjoy networking with GFWC partner organizations; and benefit from educational and inspirational programs, events, and publications that are created especially with you in mind. To become a voting member, applicants must complete the following steps:
GFWC Green Valley Woman's Club welomes inquiries regarding membership. A member in good standing is one who:
- participates with meetings or club functions at least four times a year
- works on two or more major fundraisers a year and
- upolds the bylaws and standing rules
To become a voting member, applicants must complete the following steps:
- Attend and be introduced at two monthly General Meetings
- Submit a written application for membership
- Pay the annual membership fee of $30 that includes the following:
- One year membership in the GFWC Green Valley Woman's Club
- Membership in Nevada State GFWC
- Membership in General Federation of Women's Clubs
- Subscription to GFWC Clubwoman Magazine
General Meetings
Our general Meetings are the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from September to April at 6:30 pm (see calendar for location). A variety of entertaining and educational programs are presented followed by a business meeting, which gives members an opportunity to present new and constructive ideas, discuss issues and projects and vote on matters of club importance.
