Message From The President

To My  Fellow GFWC Green Valley Members,


I want to thank all of you for your vote of confidence in me as your Club President to serve for 2012-2014.  I am very humbled to have also been elected as GFWC Nevada State President Elect for the same years.  The next two years will be very busy indeed.

It is an honor for me to be working side by side with all of you in making our community a better place.  Although our small but mighty club is located in Green Valley, Henderson, I want everyone to be aware that we are part of a much bigger and diverse community in Clark County, the State of Nevada.

My vision for our club is to have more hands-on, involved, yet fun activites; increase our club funds so we can contribute to various charities;  increase and retain membership; and obtain a 501(c) (3) status so we can apply for grants.

My theme is "Discovering Our Gifts and Utilizing them in the Service of Others".  We all come from various life experiences and backgrounds with a myriad of knowledge, skills, talents and abilities.  Each one of us is unique and special.  Let us all open our gifts, see what is inside and share them with others.  No matter the severity and complexity of our own personal circumstances, we have something of value to give to others, be it time, effort, money and/or skills.   We need each other's ideas and help to make things happen and accomplish our club's goals.  Let's all be a source of comfort, inspiration and nourishment for one another.
